Our office is happy to announce that as of April 1st we are accepting Medicare patients. This is a wonderful opportunity to help the seniors in our area get great care they can afford. Medicare works great with our ChiroHealth program to make sure our seniors are well taken care of.

It seems that the only thing about healthcare that people are talking about these days is how expensive it is. That doesn't have to be the case! Chiropractic for Everyone rolled out our new $39 flat fee program. Our new program helps patients that do not have insurance or have insurance with deductibles and co-pays so high that they are unable to utilize their benefits. Patients in our office who are members of ChiroHealthUSA (only $39 for the ENTIRE YEAR covers you and your family) have access to our low flat fee rate. |

We are now IN-NETWORK with ChiroHealth USA. Now our cash-paying patients now have access to rates once reserved only for major insurance companies. Patients enrolled in ChiroHealth receive 50% off of our regular fees for each and every service. We are committed to providing top quality chiropractic care to as many patients as possible, regardless of insurance.

Well, it's another blistering hot summer here in North Texas and everywhere else apparently. Staying inside of well air-conditioned buildings is the best advice. Drink plenty of water. If you need to get out in the heat do so as early as possible before the temperature hits it's high mark. Remember to make sure that your car has plenty of fluids too. The temperature is worse closer to the pavement and you don't want to be broken down along the side of a scorching highway.

While watching the news yesterday, they made mention of the budget shortfalls that many of the states are feeling. One proposed solution (I can't remember which state this was for) was to eliminate the health benefits for state employees. When I was younger, people used to look forward to getting a "government" job because they thought that they had stability and great benefits. This is no longer the case. Thirty years ago health insurance benefits were seen as a way to attract the best employees. |

Read in the Dallas Morning News yesterday that less than half of all Texans have health insurance through their employers. This is far below the national average. The time is coming for drastic changes in our healthcare system. Insurance will change greatly in the next 10 years as patients move toward Flex spending and Health Savings accounts. Best of health to everyone. Dr. Jeff Vining

Wow! It has been pretty warm for a December here in DFW. This great weather makes it ideal for picking up all of those last minute gifts. Remember, the stores are a source of heavy traffic and it will only get heavier closer to Christmas. Keep your eyes and ears open for inattentive drivers. Also, don't let this great weather drop your guard. You can bet that cold wet weather is just around the corner. Make sure you (and your care) are prepared. If you do happen to get into a fender bender this season, don't take it lightly! |
